Every TRANSMISSION begins with a real human encounter.
The work is drawn from years of documentary encounters across people, places and cultures.
Through documentary photography, field recordings, multilingual poetry and live electronic music, those encounters are slowly transformed into shared memory.
TRANSMISSION is not about documenting lives.
It is about creating space to recognise the quiet dignity, beauty and inner light that exists within every person.
Each live experience unfolds through music, image, language and silence, inviting audiences to slow down, listen deeply and discover what already connects us.
TRANSMISSION
TRANSMISSION is an evolving series of live experiences.
Each work begins with real human encounters and unfolds through documentary photography, multilingual poetry, field recordings and live electronic music.
Rather than presenting stories, TRANSMISSION creates space for audiences to recognise themselves in the lives of others.
Every performance becomes an archive node within a growing body of work that explores memory, shared humanity and the quiet dignity carried within ordinary lives.

The first public transmission in an evolving series of live works.

Together, the three movements form a continuous journey where music becomes the emotional centre and every image, word and sound exists in service of listening.
The Experience
Approximately 25 minutes.
Performed live using electronic instruments, documentary photography, multilingual spoken poetry in English, Hindi and French, field recordings, projection and minimal lighting.
Every performance responds to its space and audience.
About
Nitin Krishen is a London-based filmmaker, photographer and electronic musician.
His work has been recognised by MoMA, The New York Times and BBC.
Across film, photography and music, his practice explores memory, shared humanity and the quiet stories that connect people across cultures.
