Aas Mohammad, a street flute seller in Mumbai, talks about life in the city. I discovered him on a beach in Bombay.

He initially refused to be interviewed even when I offered him some money for the time away from his business. Then out of curiosity, he enquired more about my project. On learning, he requested I capture his story.

Later, as promised, when I offered him the money — he resolutely refused even a single new paisa.
